This 24-acre elephant orphanage is in the town of Kegalla - halfway between Kandy and Colombo. It is the home to some 200 elephants who are either injured or orphans. They also breed elephants here. When we first walked into this bathing area, I was overcome with tears as I stared at these powerful creatures. We've never seen anything like this in our entire live. No words. No words.
