Wednesday morning

(Tiff's Post)  Stacie has just done a fantastic job writing the story of our days.  I just wanted to let you know that we are very very thankful for your prayers.  As our time winds down, we continue to see God's gentle and loving hand over us.  This family is unlike any i have ever seen and i feel very blessed to get to spend the time with them and see how they live life so well for Him, loving others so deeply.  But it is never with out a cost.

Our second batch of laundry (darks) is almost dry.  We'll sort and pack up our stuff today and get ready for a bit of sight-seeing along some of the southwestern beaches. Then we'll meet with some pastors in the capitol city, heading for home Friday night.

I think one thing i will really miss about being here, is how many visitors just drop in all the time, and how you catch a new story and feel a great sense of deep love and deep hunger for the Lord in most of these hearts.  Two young pastors that Bandu is disciplining, often come to clean and help with the meals.  Their servant hearts are amazing to see.  The whole idea of training up a young leader continues to loop in my mind.  Who of us would give so much of ourselves, and yet these young men are being sent out to build up the body of Christ.  How can we do something similar where we are?  To live so authentically and so deeply in each other's lives is so costly to our western perspectives....we love our freedom and rest and entertainment.  But this is what is building eternally.  This fruit will last forever.  How can i transfer such a witness to my own life?

Malaka and her sister (Bandu's sisters) gave Stacie and I a sweet necklace each.  Malaka comes and makes the meals some of the time to help Angel juggle all of the people that come visit.  Such a loving example, she stays in the warm kitchen area, bringing out amazing plates full of all kinds of fun stuff to eat.  I think i've never seen this kind of serving one another before.

So, this day, as with many other days, i am humbled.
